A very likeable colt, Cathedral is half-brother to four good winners and shaped on debut as though he would soon he emulating their success. Newbury two-year-old maiden races in late summer/ early autumn invariably throw up interesting prospects and in the debut chosen for Cathedral, it was his promise that shone brightest. Slowly away, he came through to finish fast in third and the experience will not be lost on him. He is the type to take high rank as the season progresses.
